Video downloader FAQ
Clear answers about supported public links, formats, browser downloads and the limits that protect private or restricted media.
- Is Rapid Video Downloader free?
- Yes. The web app is free to use and does not require an account. Free server and source limits can apply.
- Can it download every social media link?
- No. A download works only when a supported source exposes a public stream and you are authorized to save it.
- Which platforms are supported?
- Public links from TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X, Reddit, Pinterest, Vimeo and Dailymotion may be inspected. Exact availability and formats vary.
- Can I save MP4 or MP3?
- MP4 video and an audio-only option may appear when the source provides them. The format list is source-dependent.
- Does it remove watermarks or bypass DRM?
- No. Private, login-required, DRM-protected and paywalled content is not supported, and watermarks are not removed.
- Where are saved files stored?
- Your browser sends the saved file to its normal Downloads location, subject to your device and browser settings.
Use the service only for media you own or have permission to save. A successful lookup does not grant rights to the content.
